Services
You know what your business needs to do. You do not always know what is technically possible, which technology fits, or who is best placed to deliver and maintain it. That is what we are here for.
Four questions, four services
Each of these answers a different question. Most advisors specialise in one lane, but the decisions interact, and treating them separately is how businesses end up with three answers that do not fit together.
Security advisory
How do I know what actually matters? Not the list of everything that could theoretically go wrong, but the three things worth doing something about, for a business your size, with the systems you have. Posture reviews, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, incident preparedness, and second opinions on what you have been told.
Web and infrastructure advisory
Is what I have got right, and what would it cost to change? Architecture, hosting, platform choices, reliability, and performance. Including the awkward question of whether your provider is delivering what you are paying for, and how you would prove it either way.
AI advisory
Should we be doing this at all, and where does it genuinely pay? Readiness, risk, governance, and the staff already pasting company data into tools you have not approved. Not every business needs AI right now, and we will say so.
Coordinated delivery
Who joins this up when it needs more than advice? We coordinate delivery through a network of specialists, not tied to any vendor or product. One relationship, one person accountable, and nobody handing you three suppliers who have never spoken to each other.
How an engagement works
We do not start with a sales pitch. We start with a conversation.
A coffee and a conversation
Free, face to face, no strings. Tell us what is going on with your tech, what is keeping you up at night, or what you are trying to figure out. If we can help, we will say so. If we cannot, we will point you to someone who can.
A first piece of work, tightly scoped and fixed price
The first engagement is defined before it starts: an agreed scope, an agreed deliverable, and a fixed price in writing. You know what you are getting and what it costs before you commit to anything. If the work turns out to be smaller than we thought, we say so.
Then whatever the work requires
Once we understand your business, the arrangement can be as flexible as the job needs: a standing day a month, ad hoc calls when something comes up, or a defined project when it is bigger. We can work whichever way suits the project. The fixed-price first piece exists so you can find that out at low risk.
What it costs
We do not publish a price list, because the first thing we do is work out what you actually need, and that is what determines the number. What we do publish is the commitment: the first piece of work is scoped tightly and quoted at a fixed price, agreed before anything starts. No day-rate creep, no scope that grows quietly, no invoice you did not expect.
An advisor who makes money on what they recommend is answering a different question from the one you asked.
We do not take commissions and we do not resell hosting or software, so nothing we recommend earns us a margin.
What we will tell you not to do
Not every business needs AI right now, and we will say so. The same goes for certifications you are not ready for, tooling you will not use, and rebuilds you do not need yet. Advice that only ever points towards more work is sales, not advice.
How you can judge us before you call
Read the work. We publish filings on what is happening and what it means for a smaller business, and research that analyses public records end to end: 5,525 domain dispute decisions, and 248,176 vulnerability records checked against what attackers actually exploited. It is all free, it names its sources, and it states its limits. If the thinking is not for you, you will know without spending anything.
Where we work
We are based in Sheffield and happy to meet face to face anywhere in South Yorkshire. Elsewhere in the UK we work remotely, and travel when the job needs it.
